Hi friends.
July and August so far were good months for my gigs.
Several garden parties, some gigs at The Strand and a very successful outing for the quartet, Salfield/Chandler at The Lescar in Sheffield.
Here is some information about the public gigs I have in August and early September. As usual I also have some lovely private gigs – two wedding anniversaries and other such things.

Sunday 7th September 2-4pm. Wirksworth Arts and Architecture Trail
Salfield/Chandler – Our Quartet, Steve on sax, Matt Chandler on electric guitar, Richard Keates double bass, Clive Loveday drums. We play some original compositions, some well known tunes and some less well known, beautiful numbers.
The original material is developed by Salfield and Chandler who get together for improvising and composing sessions. When promising ideas emerge, they are developed into themes or new tunes, which form the basis for the quartet’s improvising material. The result is a mix of wistful free ideas, funky rhythmic dance numbers, melodic waltzes and anything else that emerges,
