Musical picnic at Shatton Hall Farm for Village Aid and Helen’s Trust
Steve Salfield Trio with brilliant young guitarist Matt Chandler and excellent Emlyn Vaughan on double bass. Cool jazz in the beautiful surroundings of Townfield Barn, Shatton Hall Farm, Bamford, Hope Valley.
In the comfortable barn if it rains or in a beautiful meadow if fine.

Salfield/Chandler – Our Quartet, Steve on sax, Matt Chandler on electric guitar, Richard Keates double bass, Clive Loveday drums. We play some original compositions, some well known tunes and some less well known, beautiful numbers.
The original material is developed by Salfield and Chandler who get together for improvising and composing sessions. When promising ideas emerge, they are developed into themes or new tunes, which form the basis for the quartet’s improvising material. The result is a mix of wistful free ideas, funky rhythmic dance numbers, melodic waltzes and anything else that emerges,
