Hello FriendsHere is my news about a couple of jazz gigs, and recordings.
Hope to see you soon.
All the best
Steve

Friday 10th October 2014, 8pm (doors open 7.30). The Steve Salfield Trio at The Green Man Gallery in Buxton.

Steve Salfield poster DRAFT.pdf

The Green Man recently moved and the new venue has wonderful acoustics which should provide a great environment for the beautiful and interesting music that we plan to play.
We loved playing in the old place but this should be even better.
The trio features Graham Jones on double bass and Pete Moxley on piano as well as me on sax. It will be a jazz cafe style so come and enjoy the music with a glass of wine and refreshments.

Hardwick Hall is behind the Buxton Museum and Art Gallery on Terrace Road. It can be approached on foot from Terrace Road (up the path to the left of the museum) or from Hardwick Square South.

Parking: A small number of parking spaces close to the building on Hardwick Square South. Alternatively park on the Market Place or Town Hall car park and walk from there (2 minutes).

Thursday 16th October,8pm, Jazz at The Druid Pub in Birchover. 01629 653836
Great pub with good beer, excellent food and me on sax with Jez Matthews on piano and Graham Jones on double bass.
Should be a lovely night – it always is at The Druid.
It’s worth making a reservation for food.

Sunday 7th December – Jet Collective performs its latest suite – JetStream – inspired by the world’s climate.
The Fleece, Nottingham. put it in the diary, details to follow.
Hear newly created music with titles like Glaciology, The Anthropogenic Effect, JetStream, Solar Storm and many more played by this innovative sextet.
We have recently recorded the music and with any luck the new CD should be available at the gig.

And finally, my friends Bill Allerton, Bryony Doran, Berlie Doherty and others invite you to an evening of new writing and music. Here are the details:
