Steve’s gigs

Hi Friends
Here’s information about a few nice gigs I have coming up.

Sunday June 23rd, 2013, 11.30-2pm. Holymoorside and Walton Arts Festival. Jazz Brunch
I’ll be playing in the Wendy Kirkland Quartet, with Wendy on keyboard, Pat Sprakes on double bass and Clive Loveday on drums.: all wonderful musicians
Holymoorside Village Hall, S42 7DX
Sunday papers, delicious brunch and great music
Booking: holymoorartsfest or tel 01246 567118/861997. Tickets are £9 including the brunch.

Tuesday July 2nd 2013, 6-8 pm. Art and Jazz in Winster Church, Winster, Derbyshire
Local artists exhibit and we play atmospheric jazz. That’s the one and only Pete Moxley on piano, the excellent Graham Jones on double bass and me on saxophones.
The art is usually of great interest and the jazz … well what can I say.
Come and enjoy this annual event and have a glass of wine in the beautiful surroundings of Winster’s Church of St John the Baptist. Free entrance.

Saturday July 20th and Sunday July 21st 2013. Between 2 and 4.30 pm. Secret Gardens of Winster.
The Secret Gardens are open from 1.30 to 5.30. It’s a beautiful event – see http://www.winster.org and every year we play in the beautiful garden at The Headlands, East Bank where you can get a glass of wine while you relax and listen or explore the garden.
I’ll be playing with excellent musician friends, Wendy Kirkland on keyboard, Pat Sprakes double bass and Clive Loveday. It’s the Steve Salfield Quartet and any similarity in lineup to the Wendy Kirkland Quartet above is purely coincidental.

More information later but, for the diary, Cotton Grass Theatre with Steve Salfield Trio will be at Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford on September 12,13 and 14th performing “You might as well live” a play about the life and writing of Dorothy Parker: Box Office: 01483 440000

I hope you can make it to some of this.
All the best
Steve
